At Yoga Bash, we are committed to setting a foundation for children and teens that affords them the opportunity to face new challenges with confidence, grow stronger physically, mentally and emotionally, and ultimately nurture their self-esteem for a lifetime of success. As the Founder of Yoga Bash, Terri Frydman has been practicing yoga for close to 10 years. She earned her adult teaching certification through NU yoga center, and continues her children's yoga training through YogaKids. Each Yoga Bash instructor has gone through YogaKids training, and shares our passion for creating a fun, positive, and healthy environment for kids and teens to enjoy their personal yoga journey.

Yoga Classes:

Students enjoy building their strength, flexibility and confidence through yoga poses and breathing techniques designed to be age appropriate. We use books, journaling exercises, seasonal events, crafts and games to bring out each mini yogi. Weekly themes include Affirmation, Body Benefit and Brain Balance. Classes are 1- hour in length.

Class Overview:

Yoga Bash uses all of the elements in yoga to create a class that is fun, engaging, and both physically and mentally rewarding for children and teens. The pace and structure of our classes follows traditional Vinyasa flow, which is a series of poses that keeps the class in continuous motion. Each class begins with breathing techniques designed to guide the children in becoming present in the class, able to focus their attention solely on themselves. Breathing exercises are also used as a tool to energize the class and prepare them for physical activity. We follow a curriculum with several themes allowing us to explore all of the elements of yoga in fun, and unique ways. Incorporated into our weekly themes, we teach sun salutations which are universal in yoga, and involve a series of poses that allow us to focus on greeting and respecting the sun, our environment, and those around us. Additionally, we teach poses that are used as building blocks, thus, each week the class will utilize poses and moves that were used in the previous weeks practice. Each week we teach new poses that develop the children's concentration, balance, flexibility and overall strength. We utilize books, games, group activities, seasonal events, and crafts at times to make our themes come alive and further engage the children.
